BRINGING TECH OPPORTUNITIES ONE CLASSROOM AT A TIME

In marginalized communities, women face significant tech disparities. Only 12% possess digital skills (GSM Mobile Gender Report 2020). Path4Her is changing this narrative. Hence, why our goal for the outreach program was to inspire and enlighten young women in these communities about tech career opportunities.

Path4Her, in collaboration with The BigSis Initiative, implemented a comprehensive program to empower final-year (SS3) girls at a Community High School in Port Harcourt, including menstrual hygiene education, a product-driven career workshop, and a workshop on building entrepreneurial spirit, reaching a total of 225 girls.

Path4Her launched its outreach program with a product-driven career workshop for over 55 (SS3 students) at GSS Kubwa, Abuja. We introduced them to the vast opportunities a tech career has to offer, and witnessed a remarkable shift in their perspectives. With the support of the school's ICT department, we provided free beginner-friendly resources to help them get started.
